Fillmore, Villanova Prep of Ojai, Santa Clara of Oxnard, Bishop Diego of Santa Barbara and Malibu will play in the lower Frontier League. The approved releaguing means Oaks Christian likely will remain in Div. XI for the foreseeable future. The TCA has 15 schools that will compete in one to three leagues, depending on the sport. It will be the fifth such umbrella conference in the section. Dominant defense: Campbell Hall of North Hollywood (5-0), No. 1 in Southern Section Div. XIII, will count on its defense when it plays No. 5 Whittier Christian of La Habra (4-0) in a Delphic League opener Friday night at Whittier College. Campbell Hall, idle last week, has two straight shutouts – the Vikings have not been scored upon since the third quarter of a 14-6 victory over then-No. 1 Hamilton of Anza on Sept. 16. Whittier Christian has a high-powered offense averaging 39.5 points per game. Oaks Christian administrators, who sought to a play a makeup game under an arrangement that would have both teams playing three games in nine or 10 days – a plan that meets CIF State regulations – believe the bylaws state that a league champion has to play all its league games; meaning neither team would be eligible for a league title. Oak Park administrators, who rejected the Oaks Christian plan citing safety concerns, point to a clause in the constitution stating exceptions for natural disasters.
