May Day flowers for WSU Golden Grads

first_imgWashington State University Vancouver volunteers welcomed spring while honoring some of the university’s oldest graduates Tuesday.Volunteers on this May Day built flower arrangements and delivered them to WSU Golden Grads, people who graduated from the university 50 or more years ago. WSU alumnus Jake Bredstrand, an Evergreen High School graduate, was among the volunteers, bringing the crimson flower arrangements to smiling residents at The Quarry Senior Living center in east Vancouver.Cougs in the Community, operated by WSU Vancouver’s development and alumni relations, organizes several service projects a year for WSU alumni and students.
