The Johnson Center will be open during Troy Fest, Saturday 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Admission is free and the public is invited. “The Troy Fest Student Art Show is a celebration of the creativity and talents of students throughout the county,” Pritchett said. “Students in grades K through 12 in all schools in Pike County are invited to enter their artwork in the annual art show. There are several categories for entry – painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, printmaking and 3D art. There are no guidelines. The students are invite to do their own thing. This show is an opportunity for students to express themselves through art. We want them to let their creativity show through and it does.”Pritchett said this year’s Troy Fest Student Art Show features 100 or more entries and is “museum quality.” Artwork by dozens of young artists is on display this week at the Johnson Center for the Arts as part of the annual TroyFest Student Art Show. The show includes painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, printmaking and 3D art. The winners will be announced on Tuesday and the display is open to the public throughout the week and through next weekend’s Troy Fest event.
