first_imgFinesse Gymnastics Display Club are on their way home from a Gymnastics Ireland event in Salthill, Galway. The GymSTART Challenge is a new event run by Gymnastics Ireland & it gives gymnasts an opportunity to execute gymnastics floor skills appropriate to their ability levels. The 19 participating gymnasts from the club’s Senior Display Team & Junior Squad are bringing home 11 Golds, 1 Silver & 7 GymSTART Challenge level medals. Each gymnast had to perform a routine encompassing seven out of ten perfect elements in order to be awarded a medal, and all 19 of Finesse’s participating gymnasts certainly did themselves, their parents and their club  and county really proud this evening.Over 150 gymnasts from all over the west of Ireland, including Renmore Gymnastics Club & Galway West Gymnastics Club participated today & Finesse were the only club to bring home as many gold medals, considering our small group.Several weeks of intensive training & hard work showed what the girls can achieve and it’s smiles all-round.
